Silent meetings are super awkward (you know, the ones where no one talks at all)… right? and usually pretty unproductive. But I promise meetings don’t have to suck!
When no one is talking or contributing during your meetings you can almost bet there are some underground meetings* or meetings happening AFTER the meeting.
* underground meetings… people are on their phones or in a chat with other people literally talking about this meeting DURING the meeting… it’s destructive. And, unfortunately, can be common.
But team meetings and 1:1s don’t have to be awkward! They CAN be collaborative, chatty, productive, and… dare I say… fun?
